Luckily I didn’t have to go far to find a local Bagel Nash as there is one in my home town of York. Tom and I headed in to town for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon; usually we’d get a bagel to take away but as it was a particularly cold January day we decided to eat in. The cafe wasn’t particularly busy so there were plenty of tables to choose from and it was lovely and warm, with comfy sofas for us to have a relax on.
We were greeted by a particularly friendly lady who told me that they have a separate toaster for the gluten free bagels, which is ideal for coeliacs.
They have an extensive menu however I knew exactly what I wanted as I had been thinking about it since I found out about their gluten free bagels! I picked the Smoked Salmon Deluxe (smoked salmon, avocado, rocket, mayo, lemon & pepper), Tom had the Salt Beef with american mustard & dill pickles. Both bagels were delicious and the addition of the meal deal (we chose crisps and a soft drink) made lunch for both of us just under £10.
Now to pick what my next one will be, I’m thinking the bacon, brie and cranberry….
